Meet Nicholas F. Pompelio
Nicholas F. Pompelio is a Partner at DiFrancesco, Bateman, Kunzman, Davis, Lehrer & Flaum, P.C. in Warren, New Jersey. Nicholas joined the firm in July 2011 as an Associate attorney. Nicholas is admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and is admitted to practice in the United State Federal District Court of New Jersey and the United State Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Nicholas specializes in providing legal services and representation to individuals and their families in all areas of personal injury and civil litigation. Nicholas serves as lead counsel investigating, litigating, negotiating, and settling high value and complex civil claims for plaintiffs in Wrongful Death, Personal Injury, Premises Liability, and Civil Rights matters. Nicholas has extensive experience in counseling and representing crime victims and their families in serious and tragic Wrongful Death actions and prides himself in providing a level of legal knowledge, as well as compassion and respect for his clients as they navigate difficult and unfamiliar territory.
Nicholas also represents many of the firm’s clients in general civil litigation matters, including pre-suit negotiations and investigations and through the entire litigation process. Nicholas provides competent and practical advice to all of his clients with a focus on achieving practical resolutions to best suit the needs of his clients and minimize their involvement, stress and expenses often incurred during litigation and legal disputes. Nicholas also regularly serves as court-appointed attorney by the Sussex County Surrogate representing individuals in a wide range of guardianship proceedings, estate administration matters and estate litigation disputes. Nicholas is also experienced in a wide-variety of legal matters ranging from small business formation, municipal defense, OPRA requests and appeals, to drafting wills.
Nicholas graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2008, Nicholas earned his degree of Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law located in Boston, Massachusetts, wherein he earned the CALI Award for Excellence for scholastic achievement in Contracts and UCC Sales. Before graduating from New England School of Law, Nicholas lived in the Czech Republic and studied international Criminal and Environmental law at Charles University in the city of Prague. While attending law school, Nicholas participated as a member of the New England Law Review. Nicholas focused his research and writing on the relation between contract theories and modern business practices, and was selected for publication for his article entitled Restitution in Favor of the Party-in-Breach: Contract Law in Massachusetts remains a Breeding Ground for Unjust Enrichment, 43 New Eng. L. Rev. (2009).
Prior to joining DiFrancesco, Bateman, Kunzman, Davis, Lehrer and Flaum, P.C, Nicholas served as an associate attorney at a law firm in Whippany, New Jersey, from 2009 through June 2011where he represented both businesses and individuals in a wide array of legal matters. Additionally, following graduation from law school Nicholas served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C. at the Morris County Superior Court wherein he assisted several Superior Court judges and conducted mediations in the areas of juvenile, family, and civil law.
