William Willard’s practice is concentrated in representing municipalities. William also has extensive experience as a litigator, including the defense of municipalities and their employees in a variety of matters, as well as representation of municipalities in tax appeals. He has litigated commercial, insurance, land use, personal injury and workers’ compensation matters. He is also a certified mediator.
William is the Township Attorney in Green Brook and Hillsborough and participates in the firm’s service as Township Attorney in various other municipalities. He serves as Special Affordable Housing and Tax Appeal Attorney to a number of municipalities, including Berkley Heights, Manville and Toms River.
William presently serves as Municipal Prosecutor in Bernardsville and Assistant Municipal Prosecutor in Bridgewater and Branchburg.
Prior to joining the firm, William served as law clerk to the Honorable Thomas Mannion, Middlesex County Superior Court. He was also an intern in the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York.
