Overview: The Privacy and Technology Law Group helps organizations strategically think about privacy and ways to establish best practices to protect the personal information of their customers and employees, confidential information, trade secrets, regulated information, and information that must be protected based upon contracts. The Privacy and Technology Law Group is a stand-alone practice that is focused on providing best of breed privacy and technology services to our clients. This practice has been vetted by well known industry trade groups and sits upon multiple privacy insurance panels. The practice is chaired by Todd Ruback, Esq., CIPP, CIPP/IT, who is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Information Technology (CIPP/IT). He also sits on the Educational Advisory Board of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and is Chairman of the Privacy Special Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Privacy Services: Post breach services include data breach incident responses, privacy litigation defense, and privacy regulatory enforcement defense. Pre-breach services include privacy gap assessments, vendor privacy audits, remediation oversight, privacy training, and data breach planning. We also draft privacy related contracts and policies, including: employee Internet usage policies, social media network usage policies, website terms and conditions, website privacy policies, and employee computer usage policies.
Technology Services: The Privacy and Technology Law Group has expertise in many types of technology agreements, including software, hardware, data farm and cloud computing licensing agreements. In addition we have unique experience in the outsourcing industry, having represented both customers and outsourcing vendors from India, Costa Rica, China, Latvia, Columbia, Hungary, Russia, and Israel.
