Martin Allen chairs the law firm’s Real Estate Taxation Department and concentrates his practice in real estate taxation and litigation. His practice also includes representation of lenders and other holders of distressed assets in commercial foreclosures and workouts.

Martin is currently a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court. He is an Associate Counsel to the New Jersey League of Municipalities and an affiliate member of the Appraisal Institute. He has been an instructor for continuing education courses given to the Metro New Jersey Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the New Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers, the New Jersey Association of Municipal Assessors, the New Jersey League of Municipalities, the New Jersey Association of County Tax Boards and the Monmouth County Assessor’s Association. Martin serves as a Special Tax Counsel to numerous municipalities.

Martin has argued cases in New Jersey’s appellate courts and the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He appears regularly as a speaker in the area of real estate taxation before the New Jersey League of Municipalities, the Appraisal Institute, the Association of Municipal Assessors of New Jersey, the New Jersey Association of County Tax Boards, the International Association of Assessing Officers and local assessors’ associations.

Martin serves as a member of the Board of the Chestnut Run at Long Hill Condominium Association. He is also President of the Rutgers University Football team's booster club, the Rutgers Touchdown Club.
