Joseph Sordillo concentrates his practice in the areas of municipal law, land use, affordable housing, real estate tax appeals and state regulatory law. He is currently the Municipal Attorney for the Borough of Far Hills and is the Special Municipal Tax Attorney for the Township of Montclair. He served as the Municipal Attorney for the Township of Berkeley Heights; Special Municipal Tax Attorney for the Township of Cranford; Municipal Prosecutor for the Borough of Far Hills; Municipal Attorney for the Borough of South Plainfield and Temporary Municipal Attorney for the Township of Howell.

In addition to representing public clients, Joe handles all aspects of land use and development law and represents a wide range of private developers. He has handled all forms of land use applications from minor residential subdivisions to large scale commercial/industrial major site plan developments and redevelopment projects.

Joe earned the title of Barrister of the Joseph Halpern David Furman American Inn of Court and has also been listed in Super Lawyers® Rising Stars (2013-2018) in the areas of State, Local & Municipal and Land Use/Zoning.

Joe was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to the District Fee Arbitration Committee for Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties. From 2006-2018, he volunteered his time as the Attorney Advisor for the Watchung Hills Regional High School Mock Trial Team in the Vincent C. Appruzzese Mock Trial Competition.
